Terms and conditions
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms cover using the SpeechNet app and this website. By downloading or buying SpeechNet, you agree to them.
1. Who you're dealing with
SpeechNet is provided by SpeechNet (New Zealand), New Zealand ("we"). Contact: Tyrianhelp@gmail.com.
2. Who can use it
You need to be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy Pro, and they agree to these terms for you.
3. Your licence
Using the SpeechNet app is covered by the Licence Agreement, which is part of these terms. In short: free features are free with no limit. Smart Polish needs a SpeechNet account with a monthly plan or bulk credits. You can't resell or redistribute the app, your account or your credits.
4. Payment and auto-renewal
Plans and bulk credits are sold by Paddle (paddle.com), our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller you're buying from: it takes payment securely, charges any sales tax or GST/VAT, sends receipts, and processes refunds, under Paddle's own buyer terms. Prices are shown at checkout before you pay. Monthly plans renew automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel any time from the app (Settings → Account and Pro → Manage subscription) or from the link in any Paddle receipt. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for. Everything is digital: nothing is shipped.
5. Refunds
See the refund policy. In short: ask within 14 days of any payment and we refund it, no questions asked.
6. What SpeechNet does and doesn't promise
Speech recognition makes mistakes. Check important text before you send it, especially in medical, legal, financial or safety-critical situations, where you shouldn't rely on SpeechNet alone. Features that depend on Apple's software may change or stop working if Apple changes them.
Apart from guarantees that the law says we can't exclude, SpeechNet is provided "as is", without other warranties.
7. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or anything caused by text SpeechNet typed or failed to type. Our total liability to you for anything to do with SpeechNet is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim (for the free version, NZ$10). Nothing here limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or similar laws where you live, if they apply and can't be excluded. If you're buying for a business, you agree the Consumer Guarantees Act doesn't apply.
8. Disputes
If something goes wrong, email Tyrianhelp@gmail.com first. We'll try to sort it out within 30 days. If we can't, the dispute is decided under New Zealand law, by the New Zealand courts or the Disputes Tribunal. This doesn't take away any right you have to use the courts where you live, if your local law gives you that right.
9. Copyright
The SpeechNet name, app, icon and this website are © 2026 SpeechNet (New Zealand). SpeechNet doesn't host anything users upload. If you think something on this site infringes your copyright, email Tyrianhelp@gmail.com with the details and we'll look into it and remove it if it does.
10. Ending this agreement
You can stop using SpeechNet any time by deleting it. If you seriously break these terms (for example, by reselling licence keys), we can cancel your licence.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't take away a Pro licence you've already paid for.
12. Endorsements
We don't pay anyone for reviews or endorsements. If we ever work with affiliates or sponsors, that will be clearly disclosed wherever it appears.
